Sakshi Gulati, Femina Miss India 2007, may have debuted with Delhi Heights but the actress considers Ram Gopal Varma's Contract to be her debut venture. Having been a ramp model the actress is confident that she won't just end up as a decorative piece in the film. "It's a performance-based role. I am the only girl amongst the goons. I have shades of grey and at the same time a parallel love track. For the first time the heroine is in the foreground in an RGV film in this genre."

Ask her about the previous RGV proteges like Antara Mali and Nisha Kothari who failed to make it and Sakshi says, "Urmila Matondkar went on to do pretty well. At the end of the day, I am not apprehensive about who did what. I am more bothered about my career. Films are not just big banners and money, the wavelength matters a lot to me. RGV has also taken a risk and made the film. He is bouncing back after Sarkar Raj."

Sakshi, who has always been a sport-oriented person, says she enjoyed doing all the action in the film. "I am a water baby and have enjoyed doing the jet skiing in the film. It was fun on the shoot. I felt like a pro in the film. At first, they were worried and took a lot of precautions but when they realised I am good at water sports they let go of me. Most of these scenes have been shot at Pattaya in Bangkok. I have also learnt to trigger shoot from action master Allan Amin," says Sakshi.

Having done music videos, modelling, and many commercials, Sakshi is now ready for films. "All that is in the past for me now. I am concentrating on films and want to move ahead. I have a long way to go and subsequently do well in films. I am reading a lot of scripts and hoping to make it to the top some day," she says confidently.
